Fabio Capello statement on Terry

John Terry's legal team obtained witness statements from former England manager Fabio Capello and assistant Franco Baldini former in an attempt to prove that he should not be forced to face the FA disciplinary commission, ESPN could reveal.

Earlier this summer, a court acquitted Terry, 31, of racial harassment QPR Anton Ferdinand during the match at Loftus Road in October. FA press charges over the incident itself.

ESPN has learned that Terry's legal team that the question was put to Capello and Baldini ranging procedure.

An insider said:. "Fabio Capello and Franco Baldini was approached a few weeks ago to give a witness statement Fabio asks FA, and they do not mind.

"John Terry's lawyer asked a few questions, and Fabio and Franco give their answer in a statement questions were not about the facts of the case as Franco is no longer working for the FA and Fabio when it does not exist and so didn. 'T know what what happened that day.

"They are on a common policy in the same FA, the FA's attitude towards the court and how that affects their own disciplinary procedures.

"Fabio Cappello has some good players involved in a fight in a pub or a car accident, but they are not sports related case John Terry is happening in the field., And therefore related to football."

ESPN sources indicate that there is no question about the character of the former England captain, or in connection with the clash between the FA and Capello position of captain Terry, asked.

Capello and Baldini not attend the ongoing FA.
