Francesco Totti said it would be "odd" when Roma face Juventus without Alessandro Del Piero on Sunday for the first time in his career. Del Piero, 37, finally left Juventus after 19-year-old with the club, before moving to Australia to finish his career at Sydney FC.
Totti, 36, has been with Roma since 1989 and have come up against the Italians, former team-mates every time they had met two clubs - until now.
The Roma legend jokingly expressed his dismay at the departure of his old friend before declaring that he saw Juventus-Roma fixture as second after Milan derby.
"It would be rather strange to play Juventus-Roma without Del Piero," he told Sky Italia. "I'll be happy to deal with again so that we can jointly retired Without doubt Del Piero will be missed by the Italian football .. The point I'm still here!
"Of course there is real competition with the Bianconeri, and it was only normal after all, this is not a game like the others .. I would put it as the second most important equipment, just behind the derby. We will try to deal with a carefree attitude so we can put into a great performance. "
Totti scored 216 Serie A on Wednesday, a total which saw him as a scorer with the third-highest in the history of the division - level with Giuseppe Meazza and Jose Altafini and only nine seconds behind Gunnar Nordahl placed.
"It was emotional to score it, although I would prefer to win and bring back three points," added Totti.
